FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

We recommend using a reputable ride-hailing service to and from the airport with Uber, Cabify or Taxi Satelital. If you prefer a pre-arranged airport transfer visit the “Travel and Stay” section of the website for additional information.

Q: What if I missed the hotel room block deadline?

No worries! You can still book your own accommodations at the JW Marriott. We also provided nearby recommendations under the “Travel and Stay” section so you’re not too far from the party!

Q: Is parking available at the hotel and/or venue?

Yep! JW Marriott offers on-site parking and self-parking is complimentary for guests. MALI has on-site parking and is managed by the Exhibition Park and has a one-time cost of S/ 20 flat rate. The payment methods are in cash and by Yape/Plin. While parking is available throughout Lima, we still recommend a reputable ride-hailing service or hotel taxis.

Q: Is there transportation provided for the wedding day?

We’ve organized transportation to get you from the JW Marriott  to MALI and back. Reserve your seat when RSVPing. Pickup times and details will be updated closer to the wedding date as well as reminders via our WhatsApp community. You may also take ride-hailing services or hotel taxis at your own expense.

Q: What will the weather be like in Lima in February?

February is summertime in Lima and is generally warm and humid. Bring lightweight clothes, sunscreen and sunglasses.

Q: What should I wear for the wedding events? Should I avoid certain colors?

Our dress code is cocktail attire for the Welcome Cocktails; formal (black tie preferred) for the Wedding Celebration; and casual for the Farewell Brunch. No white, ivory and similar colors, as they are reserved for the bride. Otherwise, wear something you feel great in!

Q: Will any event take place outdoors?

All three events will take place outdoors (no air conditioning), although the venues will be covered for shade.

Q: Can I bring a plus-one?

If your invite says “and guest,” yes! Otherwise, we’re keeping things intimate and can’t accommodate extra guests- thanks for understanding.

Q: Are children invited?

We love your little ones, but the wedding celebration is an adults-only event. We hope you enjoy a well-deserved night off! Family and children are invited to the Farewell Brunch the following day.

Q: Are gifts expected?

Your presence at our wedding is the best gift, especially considering the travel involved. If you still want to give, please consider contributing to our honeymoon fund.

Q: Where will updates be posted?

Any changes will be posted right on our website. For up-to-date communications while in Lima, join our WhatsApp community here.

Q: Do I need Peruvian Soles?

Peru’s currency is the sol (PEN). Cards are widely accepted, but carrying some cash for small purchases or tipping is a good idea.
